Welcome to BURLY Brewing Company! I’m known pretty much everywhere in Castle Rock as Miss Lisa.
One of my roles here is ensuring the mission of BURLY Brewing encompasses Family, Community, and Faith as our platforms for success. Without each of these components, I believe BURLY would not exist today, nor would we be able to offer the family-friendly, welcoming environment which we do. Remaining focused on our small community, offering a place to come which welcomes diversity, change, and is all-inclusive… we are the place to come for comfortable, relaxing conversation while enjoying a delicious American Craft Beer.
Bringing in Food Trucks with culturally diverse food choices, live music from artists all over Colorado and a few guests from as far away as Los Angeles, Nashville, and Charleston, SC, hosting parties of all sorts and sizes (birthdays, retirements, celebrations), creating and holding fundraisers for many different non-profits and causes, asking Santa to join us each December.
Strengthening old and building new relationships within the Castle Rock Community are among some of our greatest achievements. As members of the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce, we have been introduced to many other small businesses who work alongside of us to build and strengthen our presence as a family-friendly environment for all to enjoy. Simultaneously welcoming new small businesses to the community, introducing them to the Town of Castle Rock, the Chamber of Commerce, and many of the wonderful amenities which come with living in Our Town, opening up opportunities on all sides of the equation, lessening competition and recognizing hard work as the cornerstone of small town relationships.
We continually thank our community members, families, and businesses who have been pivotal in making sure BURLY has survived and is thriving.

My name is Sara, I moved to Castle Rock in Oct. 2020 but I have lived in Colorado since 2013. Colorado is my 7th State and I moved up to Colorado to be with my high school sweetheart who I now get to call my husband! My husband and I are from Cave Creek Arizona and we celebrated our 12 year anniversary on September 23, 2021 which is the day we got married! We own a beautiful home in Castle Rock that we share with our loving pup, Maisy. Maisy is a one of a kind sweetheart who many of you will see at Burly behind the bar with me!
I am incredibly blessed to be a part of the Burly team, I have been with Burly since Lisa took over and couldn’t be more proud of what she has done to make Burly the place we love today!Lisa is one of my most special friends and I consider her to be my Colorado mom!
I also moved to Colorado to finish my bachelor‘s degree at CU Denver; if it were not for transferring, I would’ve never had the opportunity with my weekday job. For the past 6 years I have been the Program Coordinator and mediator for a non-profit mediation organization. One of my passions is people, and being able to assist in conflict resolution is incredibly fulfilling. The job can be challenging and I am forever grateful I get to go to Burly and be around all of our amazing customers! I have worked in the industry in the past, but nothing has compared to what we have at Burly!!!

Hello, my name is Ashton. My wife, Sara, and I moved to Castle Rock in 2020 and have been blessed with the opportunity to be a part of the BURLY family since Miss Lisa took over.
I've had the honor of knowing Miss Lisa long before BURLY with our time together at my main gig at Rock Bottom Brewery. She and BURLY have become a big part of my life and I love what we stand for in our town. The community here in Castle Rock has been incredibly welcoming and I couldn't be happier to call this "home". My wife and I grew up in Arizona, having been together since we were sophomores in high school. I'm fortunate to have the opportunity to work with her and Miss Lisa and the rest of our amazing crew. I've been an Executive a Chef and now General Manager for Rock Bottom and enjoy pouring BURLY Beer in my free time. Look forward to seeing you at the brewery. And also...Go Chiefs!

My name is Aaron and I am one of the Beertenders here at BURLY. I’m a Colorado native, growing up near Castle Rock and Pueblo. I started working at Burly after my family moved to Castle Rock in 2020. I’m married with 3 kids, 2 dogs, and we’re very involved in the community between soccer and cub scouts.
I love to cook, camp, hike, and do all the typical Colorado stuff. I’m a former home-brewer and love talking about new beers and different beer styles. Be sure to say hello when you’re in!

Hello, my name is Karrissa and like many of the other beertenders I started out at BURLY as a customer. When I found out that BURLY was hiring I thought what better place to work and get to know people in the community. In my full time I work remotely from home as part of the national office of one of the largest healthcare networks in the nation. BURLY gave me face to face socialization back. I have found a second family here at BURLY.
My husband Andy and I have been together for over 20 years and we live in Castle Rock with our two daughters, Hunter and Harley. When I get some free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, cooking, reading, concerts, and relaxing by a pool in Vegas with my husband. I love the holidays and enjoy decorating for them ALL, especially Christmas! My favorite BURLY beer is Godfrey's Celtic Red.
Jason Bushey

Hello everyone, my name is Jason Bushey… everyone except Miss Lisa calls me Bushey (she calls me Jason or Bushey Booshay).
I have been married to the most amazing wife, Elaine, for 10 years (who also happens to be my High School Sweetheart). We have two energetic sons, Ryder and Paden. I’m a Member of the DoCR Executive Committee. Assisting families in need, raising money which goes directly into our Community and benefitting those here at home, is a passion of mine.
I love to Golf and spend time cooking out with friends and family (yes, the rumor is true... I eat hot dogs raw, but so does Miss Lisa!).
I’ve been an avid fan of BURLY since the day we opened, and am known in certain social circles as “MR. BURLY” (Miss Lisa can confirm this). I'm excited to be a part of the BURLY Family and looking forward to our 5th Anniversary coming up in 2023.

Hi!! My name is Whitney and my family and I moved to Castle Rock in September 2021 from Long Beach, CA to be closer to our family, a big chunk of whom lives out here. I have been coming as a visitor to Colorado to see family since 2000, so to be living here now is really special. My husband and I are high school sweethearts and this past October, we celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary. We have a beautiful and hysterical daughter named Josephine, who is 19 months old, and we are expecting another daughter in May! My family is my whole world and I am truly blessed for the love and support that they give me.
As far as work goes, I have been in the service industry since I was 16, working every position from host, bartender, general manager, and most recently as a special events manager for three different restaurant locations. Moving to Castle Rock, I knew I needed to find a job. Little did I know that me working at Burly would turn out to be one of the best decisions for me and my family. Everyone, from the staff to the regulars, have welcomed me with open arms and I am so grateful to be part of this team! I am looking forward to the future and everything it has to offer.

Hi, my name is Andy. I learned about BURLY through the DoCR group and thought my wife and I would give it a try. We walked in and immediately loved the atmosphere and people. My wife and I live in Castle Rock with our two daughters, Hunter and Harley. I am a Colorado native growing up in Highlands Ranch. My main job is GM for a company that builds emergency vehicles and in my spare time you can find me in my garage working on a motorcycle or car. I enjoy getting out on one of my motorcycles when I can and going for a ride, concerts, going to Vegas with the wife and spending as much time with my daughters as I can, and smoking or grilling something for family get-togethers. My Favorite BURLY beer is the BURLYweiss. You won't find a better place for family, friends and community than that here are BURLY.

My name is Avery & I was the manager of this wonderful brewery we all know & love, BURLY! I’ve decided to seek a career in the field of Secondary Education, therefore, you will only see me around BURLY for our Tuesday Trivia nights.
I’ve been with BURLY for 2 years, starting out as a Beertender, then earned the position of Brewery Supervisor, then Brewery Manager. Now, as I move forward in my career choice, I’m back to Beertender!
I graduated with my bachelors in Criminal Justice in May of 2020 from the University of Texas at Arlington where I also played 4 years of Division 1 softball. I moved from North Texas to Castle Rock in 2020 & have been so blessed to call this place home. I’m especially excited about living in Castle Rock since my boyfriend moved here and we are now engaged to be married.
I love many things about BURLY such as the awesome events we host, the great customers we have & of course all my BURLY kiddos. Come see all the great things BURLY has to offer, especially Tuesday Trivia!
