Lisa

Director of Operations

I’m known around BURLY as Miss Lisa… I’m officially the Director of Operations and a Business Partner to George Goodman whom I have had the absolute pleasure of working alongside of since August of 2020.

Since joining BURLY, we have had the joy of strengthening old and building new relationships within the Castle Rock Community. As members of the Chamber of Commerce and the Castle Rock Small Business Alliance we have been introduced to countless other small businesses working alongside of us to build and strengthen our presence as a family-friendly environment for all to enjoy. We cannot thank our community members, families and businesses alike, who have been pivotal in helping BURLY to survive and thrive.

Bringing in Food Trucks with culturally diverse food choices, live music from artists all over Colorado and a few guests from as far away as Nashville and Charleston, SC, hosting parties of all sorts and sizes, creating and holding fundraisers for many different non-profits and causes, asking Santa to join us each December… these are all just a peek at the fun I get to have in my “job”. I am blessed immeasurably that this is where Gd has planted me.

One of the greatest joys of my role at BURLY is creating an atmosphere which is not only fun to work in, but one which the staff enjoys working in… an environment where each team member knows their value (not only to BURLY, but to themselves), and understands each team member is vital to the organizations success. Over the weeks you have been introduced to our team… they are an amazing group who individually and as a whole make BURLY the fun, relaxed, family-oriented Brewery you all have come to love and enjoy.

Thank you for your continued support for our Craft Beer Brewery. See you soon!

Head Brewer

I‘m Josh! I’m originally from the southeastern US, I moved to Castle Rock in 2016 after serving in the military for 10 years. And have been with Burly since its opening in 2018 (with a brief hiatus in South Carolina) Starting out as a beertender, and finally coming home to become Head Brewer. I enjoy the outdoor offerings that Castle Rock provides, from the trails to disc golf at Matney Park. Also, a diehard Avalanche fan and proud to possibly be Castle Rock’s only Jacksonville Jaguars fan (haven’t met another one yet) My favorite beer on tap is always the next one, or Chain Banger

Whitney

Whitney

Beertender

Hi!! My name is Whitney and my family and I moved to Castle Rock in September 2021 from Long Beach, CA to be closer to our family, a big chunk of whom lives out here. I have been coming as a visitor to Colorado to see family since 2000, so to be living here now is really special. My husband and I are high school sweethearts and this past October, we celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary. We have a beautiful and hysterical daughter named Josephine, who is 19 months old, and we are expecting another daughter in May! My family is my whole world and I am truly blessed for the love and support that they give me.

As far as work goes, I have been in the service industry since I was 16, working every position from host, bartender, general manager, and most recently as a special events manager for three different restaurant locations. Moving to Castle Rock, I knew I needed to find a job. Little did I know that me working at Burly would turn out to be one of the best decisions for me and my family. Everyone, from the staff to the regulars, have welcomed me with open arms and I am so grateful to be part of this team! I am looking forward to the future and everything it has to offer.

My name is Sara, I moved to Castle Rock in Oct. 2020 but I have lived in Colorado since 2013. Colorado is my 7th State and I moved up to Colorado to be with my high school sweetheart who I now get to call my husband! My husband and I are from Cave Creek Arizona and we celebrated our 12 year anniversary on September 23, 2021 which is the day we got married! We own a beautiful home in Castle Rock that we share with our loving pup, Maisy. Maisy is a one of a kind sweetheart who many of you will see at Burly behind the bar with me!

I am incredibly blessed to be a part of the Burly team, I have been with Burly since Lisa took over and couldn’t be more proud of what she has done to make Burly the place we love today!Lisa is one of my most special friends and I consider her to be my Colorado mom!

I also moved to Colorado to finish my bachelor‘s degree at CU Denver; if it were not for transferring, I would’ve never had the opportunity with my weekday job. For the past 6 years I have been the Program Coordinator and mediator for a non-profit mediation organization. One of my passions is people, and being able to assist in conflict resolution is incredibly fulfilling. The job can be challenging and I am forever grateful I get to go to Burly and be around all of our amazing customers! I have worked in the industry in the past, but nothing has compared to what we have at Burly!!!
